House Sparrow (Harbour Road, Lydney)

I was told by the weather person, that we were going into a day with sunshine, so what did I do, put on swimming trunks and head out toward it.  In fact, we were covered with clouds. You can't trust the weather person.............


                                Here is the female of the species, collecting grass to make her nest.

  1. Bob, same thing here this morning. I got up early all set to head out to my favorite spot and it was pouring rain. So I went back to bed!

  18. Beautiful photos of an often overlooked little bird Bob. I was reading an article about them last night which said that they have the same partner for life but sometimes have 'affairs', who would have thought it?!! :)

  22. I love this "ordinary" birds. A great family of them are living in a bush under my bedroom window. The whole day they are twittering or chatting;-)) Wonderful images! Hugs from Luzia.
