Pied Wagtail (Tutshill, Forest of Dean)

Afternoon sunshine, hooray! I was ready for it to happen, I ceased the moment to film the Black Redstart, and there was sun. But, I was wrong, that bird gave me nothing, he must have known that I was about. Oh, I didn't mind TOO MUCH. I got the old Pied Wagtail instead!

  7. You sure did!! What an exceptional series of photos. You know, I had to look up pied in the dictionary. There are tons of Pied-billed Grebes here right now and, well, I feel pretty stupid now that I've seen the definition (having patches of two or more colors). I certainly can see why your bird is called pied!! What a beauty! ~karen

  12. Time to say goodbye...

    Sunshine on all your ways
should always be a good companion for you
Joint while the net was nice
but now time for me to go.
    Goodbye is the magic word,
then the way is the only true goal.
Whether eternity is hiding behind it,
I do not know, I will behold.
Just one more thing I want to say
    a great big thank you!

Servus, so long, and as we say "Latins"
    sincerely
    Kvelli
