Now here's a co-incidence. Just yesterday I was reading a study from the University of Auckland Department of Psychology which claimed "New Caledonian crows are the most accomplished tool manufacturers in the animal kingdom. They make two distinct types of hook tool and have possibly made cumulative changes to their tool designs over time." Our crows Down Under are bigger than yours I think, sleeker and have longer legs. Same eyes. Here's the crow link if you are interested: http://www.psych.auckland.ac.nz/uoa/home/about/our-research/research-groups/evolutionary-psychology
