Today, I produced a Black Redstart - my first. It was a bad photographing day, but I had to do it.
It must have been a motor with an enormous engine, ooh, one that runs on diesel, and it doesn't last long since it was last filled it up. Well, it's worth it, pouring diesel fumes all over the place.......
We have Red Starts also Bob, but they're different again. Great photo, hope you kicked the carbon emmitting outmoded thing near the beautiful bird.Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
What a little beauty! I have never seen one myself but have just looked them up and apparently they have become particularly well adapted to living in the heart of urban and industrial areas so maybe I should look in places I wouldn't have previously thought of.
It does look awfully vulnerable by that wheel though!
What a great find Bob, one of my favourite birds, and you got great photo's of it too, :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast between technic and nature. Who is stronger?

Bob, I think it may be a Sooty Redstart. Very common in London.
