Black Redstart (Tutshill - Forest of Dean)

Today, I produced a Black Redstart - my first. It was a bad photographing day, but I had to do it.

It must have been a motor with an enormous engine, ooh, one that runs on diesel, and it doesn't last long since it was last filled it up. Well, it's worth it, pouring diesel fumes all over the place.......

  4. What a little beauty! I have never seen one myself but have just looked them up and apparently they have become particularly well adapted to living in the heart of urban and industrial areas so maybe I should look in places I wouldn't have previously thought of.

It does look awfully vulnerable by that wheel though!

  5. Bob, I think it may be a Sooty Redstart. Very common in London.
