Chaffinches, further on up to the Forest of Dean.

                                                This male Chaffinch has no deformity.
And this one does have a disease. (Fringilla papillomavirus, Warts). It seems that 1/3 of Chaffinches is likely will end up with it, both sexes.  It's a terrible to have that, but, it wont kill them and doesn't restrict their usual galloping around.

  3. Just brilliant Bob! He sure will touch everyone's hearts.....I love the second one that he is perched on the very tip of that branch... You sure captured the innocence in his eye.....I enjoy these very much!

  6. Lovely captures again Bob. It is a nasty disease and I believe they can sometimes lose a digit but as you say it doesn't usually restrict them.
